It's Time for a Funeral
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me (Gal 2:20).

"There's nothing wrong with you that a good funeral won't solve," I said to the woman. "I'll even send you flowers!" She smiled in response. I was speaking figuratively to the woman who was stressing out about an issue in her life.

Her problem was the same problem most of us have - too much of "us" and not enough of Jesus and the cross. Many of the daily problems in life can be solved by coming to an end of ourselves so Jesus can take over. I believe this is what the psalmist meant when he said: "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints" (Ps 116:15).

The apostle Paul recognized the need for a funeral too when he penned these words: "What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life" (Rom 6:1-4).

Whenever we stress over a matter, get angry over a daily circumstance, or seek to have our own way - it is a sign there is still life in the grave. We need to fill it with dirt and smother the life of our flesh so that Christ may live freely, unhindered by the "old" man. Send yourself some flowers today.

Have a good funeral.
Prayer

Dear Lord, let me be a simple fool, not a hardened fool. Though I make many mistakes in life, I want to learn from those mistakes. I want to improve; to do what is right. As the Bible says, to be a "simple fool." Please never let me become a hardened fool who does not listen or learn from mistakes. I pray for your guidance, direction, and wisdom each and every day. Thank you for hearing me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

How does one adequately describe a Godly Man? Is it through ones innate ability to quote scripture or is it equated to the number of obstacles that transpired during ones lifetime? It is most important to understand that ones godliness should not and can not be defined on a scale balance (using 1 as the lowest and 10 as the highest)! The bible does not state that one is considered Godly for the amount of quotable scriptures; but through the life that one leads as a result of the knowledge of God's word! Nor does the bible state that one is considered Godly for the amount of struggles endured in ones lifetime; but is quantified in the manner in which the person goes through the struggle! For these reasons, God's Elect personifies the essence of a Godly Man! One can give very specific details of the struggles that God's Elect has endured. It would be quite easy to pull at the heart strings of those readers in hopes to feel sorrow and/or pity. However, God's Elect refuses to allow the struggles and adversity that he has undergone define who he is; but uses that past as a catalytic approach to his future as means to connect with others through the ministry of music. Listeners, will be touched through the realistic lyrics and clairvoyance of God's Elect the total package! God's elect is a total package not by the terms of the worldly life in which we live, but in terms of the after-life that God's believers dream of and inspire to go. His cavalier approach to subjects that many would dare not venture ascertains elect's ability to be artistic and prophetic at the same time. Elect not only is a writer/producer, but is also an entrepreneur. His ministry has been broadcaster on the airwaves and throughout various mixtapes. His greatest accomplishments have been his 3 adoring children including a set of fraternal twins: Preston, Jr. Titus & Talya. He is the eldest of three siblings under the parentage of Ghana native's Ebenezer & Olivia. elect has traveled throughout the world inspiring and motivating audiences of all backgrounds through his ministry of words. Again, the question is presented: How does one adequately describe a Godly man? His debut solo album: "To Be Continued..." is set to be released summer of 2009.
